PREGNANCY RESOURCE CENTERS
Pregnancy Resource Centers (PRC) offer support and service to women. Most resources offered by PRCs are free of charge and can include everything from medical services to counseling and educational programs.
Medical PRCs are professional, medical offices with trained staff that offer support and services to women facing an unintended pregnancy. All resources offered by PRCs are free of charge to women in their community.
Most medical PRCs provide the following services:
Pregnancy Tests
Ultrasound
STI Screening / Treatment
Counseling
Educational Programs
There are three main ways that a PRC seeks to help women in unintended pregnancies:
PRC staff are professionally trained and highly networked in their communities and state. They understand that treating women with an unintended pregnancy involves treating both the woman and the baby. Thus, relational support and education programs are key components of supporting a woman throughout her pregnancy.
